State Associations and Clubs

ABBA supports a number of State Associations and Clubs, their contact details and activities are as follows:

Western Australia

WA has two blind and vision impaired bowling clubs;

  • The Vision Impaired and Blind Bowling club of WA, based in Perth at the Perth and Tattersalls club 2 Plain Street East Perth. VIBBWA holds weekly social bowling events every Wednesday morning from 9am, they also hold an annual championship event.   • The South West Rollers bowling club, based at the Mandurah Bowling Club 89 Allnut Street Mandurah. SWR holds social bowling events every second Friday from 9am. SWR have a webpage S.W.ROLLERS – MBRC Contact Brent Parsons on 0498 508 644

Queensland

  • The Queensland Blind Bowlers, based at the Geebung Bowls Club 21 Thompson Street Zillmere. QBBA holds weekly social bowling events every Monday morning from 8:30am, they also have regular trips to Mt Tamborine as well as holding an annual championship event. New South Wales

NSW has several blind and vision impaired bowling clubs;

  • Blind Bowls NSW/ACT has a website NSW/ACT Blind Bowlers Association (nswactblindbowls.com.au) and can be contacted via the contact us button on their site. They hold an annual state championship.
  • Avalon Bowls Club on bowling lane green Avalon, has a vision impaired and blind bowls group that meets every Tuesday at 10:am, they also regularly travel to Gosford. Contact is Maureen Eves on 0412 092 771.
  • Gosford Bowls Club on Dane Drive Gosford, has a vision impaired and blind bowls group that meets every 2nd Wednesday at 10:am. Contact is Heather McColl 0423 626 423.
  • East Maitland at East Maitland Bowlo on Bank Street East Maitland, has a vision impaired and blind bowls club that meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 9:30am. Contact Mick Baker on 0431 974 925.
